A total of 1290 returns were collated through the community survey. The participants were from across North Ayrshire with a majority from the Kilwinning area.

Alongside the survey, schools were targeted to seek the opinions of the young users and potential users. Reponses were positive and the participants were excited at being involved. We utilised green cards for go/yes and red cards for stop/no.

Conclusion
The findings are a combination of streetwork , focus groups and presentation methods. The timing of the research enabled the hristmas Light event in Kilwinning to be used as a venue to present the plans and receive feedback through the questionnaire. The findings display a positive split across gender and ages as well as a comprehensive coverage of members and non-users.

The findings showed that a high number of people do not take part in fitness and leisure facilities. A high percentage of those who responded said they would use the new build facility showing a desire to become more active.
There was a mixed response to awareness about the new build plans which should now be increased due to this research which provided information as to the plans prior to asking the questions.

A high majority supported the new build , some said that they felt excited about the development. Some of those who took part felt that they needed more information about the plan.
