Clark Drive v West Kilbride
Clark Drive got off to a flyer but after a fine save by their keeper, Scott Gilmour, West Kilbride took the lead through an Ian Fraser goal in 12 minutes. West Kilbride then got into their stride only for Clark Drive to equalise after a terrible mistake by Stuart Whitehill allowed Scott Donahoe through to score. Whitehill was subsequently sent off for the late tackle. Despite having the extra man, Clark Drive didn’t really capitalise on this. Even so, Michael Fitzpatrick got the goal that took them 2-1 up at half time.
West Kilbride gave as good as they got and equalised with a great strike from Ricky Wardrope on 64mins. He was later sent off for a second offence. Nine men became eight when Gerry Cavant was sent off for a terrible challenge with five minutes to go. The game then went straight to penalties with Clark Drive winning 3-2. |

In conjunction with Community Energy Scotland & The Climate Challeng Fund, Kilwinning Sports Club is hoping to install a Wind Turbine Renewable Energy Source at their complex in Pennyburn.
The Club aim to at least half their energy costs & dramatically reduce their CO2 emissions along the way.
The project is currently going through the consultation & planning process prior to installation. |
