GP REFERRAL INFORMATION AT KSC

WHAT IS THIS SCHEME ALL ABOUT?

Kilwinning Sports Club have teamed up with North Ayrshire Leisure to promote the referral scheme across our neighbouring towns.

To provide a service for people who do little or no exercise, who may have Coronary Heart Disease, Diabetes, High BP, Arthritis or generally overweight.

What You Should Do?

Contact your GP or practise nurse. If the scheme is appropriate for you they will give you a prescription for exercise, a copy goes to the Exercise & Referral Officer who is based at the Magnum, you will then be called to attend a consultation at the venue of your choice, Kilwinning, Magnum, Harvies or Garnock Swimming Pool who will then give you advice on what type of exercise or activity is right for you. A Personal Programme will then be tailored for your own individual needs. A reduced fee for using the facilities applies.
